The story will be depicted from the web novel of the same name by Chu Gong.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of directors Lee Hae Joon and Kim Byung Seo, the same directors of the 2019 film Ashfall. Kakao Entertainment and Men's Picture will produce the K-drama.
Byeon Woo Seok will portray the role of the main character named Seong Jin U. Other cast members have not yet been announced.

Solo Leveling will exclusively premiere on Netflix. The premiere date is yet to be revealed.
Solo Leveling is Byeon Woo Seok's first-ever Netflix original K-drama since his debut.
Before he greets viewers as Seong Jin U, the actor will first reunite with IU in the upcoming MBC series Wife of a 21st Century Prince. The K-drama is set to premiere in early 2026.
Last year, Byeon Woo Seok rose to stardom after starring in the hit series Lovely Runner. He showed great acting and chemistry with Kim Hye Yoon. This success opened numerous doors for him, leading to opportunities in advertising and other activities. Now, it's been confirmed that he will also be starring in his very first Netflix original K-drama.
